Ok, so the food is great. The beer, cold. But all that aside, Dan, the owner, is a true gentleman.
I stopped for food and asked Dan about a motel or b&b, and since there are none in Vina, he offered me to stay in the backyard of his restaurant. Wow!
We got talking politics, specifically about the economy. I told him how shocked I am at the number of homeless people I've seen alongside the rivers. Timing was on his side... another gentleman arrived, did some cleanup work and asked for any leftovers that the restaurant has. Dan told him that he can have the staff prepare him a burger.
